Chris leads Green Mountain’s plans to develop and execute the Company’s strategic plans for assigned programs, including alternative risk and captives, and identify areas of growth and opportunity. Chris’s strengths include the design and implementation of risk and profit solutions, development of marketing and distribution strategies, and product development.
Chris’s career spans over 30 years and is credited with the creation of a number of captives, risk retention groups and start up profit centers for private and public enterprises. Before Chris joined Green Mountain, his experience included working with several captive management firms and for XL Capital (Bermuda) and FM Global in supervisory, underwriting and management roles.
His has served as both officer and director for many domestic and international captive insurance organizations, including Barbados, where he led the efforts to create a Segregated Cell Company (SCC), currently the largest in Barbados. He has testified front of Congressional Sub-Committees and was successful in contributing to implementing new federal guidelines (HUD) for captives in senior care industries. In 2011, Chris was recognized for the Industry Leadership Award presented by the Captive Insurance Council of the District of Columbia (CIC-DC). He is Founder and Manager for one of LinkedIn’s largest networking group for captives, Captive Insurance & Risk Retention Group, with over 6,500 members.
